    The purpose of the Fund is to support and encourage community-led, grassroots support for people with lived experience of dementia that helps them to live better in their community.

    The fund has the following aims:

    • Addressing gaps in mainstream support for people living with dementia and unpaid carers in their community
    • Enabling people with lived experience to take part in ordinary activities and stay connected to their community
    • Integrating approaches that will include and empower people living with dementia and unpaid carers
    • Support intergenerational activity, such as working with young carers/family members, or including young people in the community

    Fund award sizes

    Minimum: £5,000

    Maximum: £20,000

    Annually awarded: £310,000

    Who can apply?

    Smaller, grassroots organisations and groups. The fund is open to both new and established organisations, including those with and without a constitution.
