Voiceability support people to be heard in decisions about their health, care, and wellbeing. They offer advocacy services to vulnerable people to access benefits.

They support clients with applications for:

    • Adult disability payment
    • Child disability applications
    • Carers' support
    • Funeral support
    • Other benefits such as the Pension Age Disability Payment

Voiceability's services are person-centred and the team meets clients in the local community, providing both home visits and online meetings.

New advocacy services for people age 16+

At the beginning of September 2024, Voiceability will start to deliver general advocacy, delivering advocacy services to vulnerable people aged 16+ who are affected by disability, chronic illness or mental disorder, and unable to safeguard their own wellbeing, rights, care, or other interests.

This will include children under 16 years of age, subject to compulsory measures under the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003, or are the subject of a Welfare Guardianship, under the Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000.
