News/Events Category: Funding and FinanceScottish EDGE is a competition aimed at identifying and supporting Scotland’s up-and-coming, innovative, high-growth potential entrepreneurial talent. You should have an ambitious growth strategy and a commitment to deliver upon it.
Competitions are:
- Scottish EDGE: For early-stage companies/social enterprises across all sectors, offering funding of up to £100,000 on a split grant/loan basis
- Young EDGE: For companies where all directors are under the age of 30 offering a grant only award of up to £10,000
- Wild Card EDGE: For pre-trading companies, sole-traders and partnerships, offering a grant-only award of up to £15,000
- Social Enterprise EDGE: For Social Enterprises who clearly demonstrate how their business enriches communities and makes a contribution to society, offering funding of up to £75,000 on a split grant/loan basis
Who can apply
Your organisation must be Incorporated at Companies House. Scottish EDGE is open to Ltd Companies and registered Social Enterprises/ Charities only.
The company must have been in operation for less five years, have fewer than 24 employees, have a business bank account, and be capable of employing at least five more people over the next three years
How to apply
Online application and a short video pitch. Paper based or e-mail applications will not be accepted.
The closing date for applications is 2.00pm on Wednesday 11 September 2024.
