Lunchtime Learning Sessions - Why Lived Experience Matters
Created: 02/08/2024FVA lunchtime learning sessions are aimed at raising the skills and capacities of local service providers interested in improving or enhancing their provision in Fife.
It is more and more the expectation that services, strategy, or commissioning involve people with lived experience. But why does it matter that lived experience is involved? And what does this mean in practice?
The Lived Experience Team (LET) at Fife Voluntary Action is a group of volunteers and paid facilitators who have experienced mental health challenges (personally or as a family member, a friend, or a colleague), trauma, and/or unemployment.
At this session, members of FVA’s Lived Experience Team will discuss some of the potentials and challenges of lived experience work and share some of the examples of good practice they’ve been involved with in Fife.
