FVA lunchtime learning sessions are aimed at raising the skills and capacities of local service providers interested in improving or enhancing their provision in Fife.

Multiple benefits supporting vulnerable people in poverty are now available from Social Security Scotland – these have been rolled out since autumn 2020.

Many of these benefits, which are specifically targeted at those in particularly difficult circumstances, are unfamiliar to third sector practitioners and their clients. Social Security Scotland has also invested in significant developments improving the way clients can find out about and apply for these benefits, and how they can communicate with Social Security Scotland to get support for the application process.

Lyndsey Maricic, Local Delivery Relationship Lead for Fife and Dundee, Social Security Scotland will introduce us to the wide range of benefits now available, and will guide us through Social Security Scotland’s plans for the future.

    Learning outcomes will include:

    • Understanding of Adult Disability Payment
    • Social Security Scotland’s support services for clients struggling to make contact and apply
    • Social Security Scotland’s principles and practices in guiding the client experience
