    The Richmond Fellowship Scotland (TRFS) is looking for caring, supportive, adaptable, approachable, empathetic, fun and positive individuals to join their North East Fife teams.

    As a Bank member of staff you will cover staff leave, training, sickness and any other staff absences. Bank contracts are ideal for people who need the extra money and can't find childcare every day. As a Bank staff member you choose what days you work, and you can work full time or part time hours, depending on your preference.

    The Senior Support Worker, who is responsible for the rota, will contact you to see if you are available to help out. As you are not required to do shifts, you can pick and choose the hours/shifts that suit you and work around your other commitments. Certain services operate enhanced weekend rates.

    At this time TRFS have two bank roles open to non-drivers:

    • 1x post in Buckhaven (candidates have to be able to cover day and night shifts)
    • 1x Cupar (candidates have to be able to work day & sleepover shifts)

    All other bank roles are only open to drivers with access to own vehicles. Mileage is reimbursed at 45p per mile, for travel between resident`s homes. Please note: driver roles are based in Glenrothes, Cupar, Kirkcaldy, Tayport, St Andrews, Anstruther and Leven. This vacancy does not cover Dunfermline city. TRFS have shift patterns to suit your availability as a part time or bank staff member. 

    TRFS have a detailed, thorough induction for all new bank which must be met within a 28-day period therefore you must be able to commit to meeting this during induction period. Induction training takes place in their Kirkcaldy office during office hours. You do not need to have worked in care to apply as they will invest in your qualifications and provide full training through their award-winning learning and development team prior to starting.

    About the Role

    Your responsibilities as a Support Practitioner could include:

    • Social Support - Assisting individuals to engage with their communities by planning and attending outings to various leisure activities such as day centres, cinema, swimming etc.
    • Medical Support - Administering and monitoring medication.
    • Personal Care - Assisting people to maintain their wellbeing by promoting their personal care which would include assistance with bathing, dressing, arranging visits with the dentist/doctor, incontinence care.
    • Practical Support - Helping people to maintain their tenancy by encouraging daily household tasks such as general housework, laundry, ironing, cooking, shopping.
