    Requirements

    Richmond Fellowship has an exciting opportunity for a two Support Practitioners to join their team. They are looking for individuals who can cover a part-time contract for 25 hours a week and a full-time contract for 39 hours per week. These vacancies cover Anstruther and coastal areas. Please note that this is shift work and may include weekend and public holiday work at times.

    These posts cover home care and housing support. You will mostly be looking after elderly and adults with Mental Health. Both posts are for day shifts only. Due to the nature of the services in this area, they can only accept applications from candidates who have a valid full driving license and access to their own vehicle. You will be paid for your travel time while on shift and there is also a 45p per mile fuel allowance. They have shift patterns to suit your availability as a part time or bank staff member. 

    You do not need to have worked in care to apply as they will invest in your qualifications and provide full training through their award-winning learning and development team prior to starting.

    About the Role

    Your responsibilities as a Support Practitioner could include:

    • Social Support - Assisting individuals to engage with their communities by planning and attending outings to various leisure activities such as day centres, cinema, swimming etc.
    • Medical Support - Administering and monitoring medication.
    • Personal Care - Assisting people to maintain their wellbeing by promoting their personal care which would include assistance with bathing, dressing, arranging visits with the dentist/doctor, incontinence care.
    • Practical Support - Helping people to maintain their tenancy by encouraging daily household tasks such as general housework, laundry, ironing, cooking, shopping.
