This particular event is free to attend, so no payment is required.Aims
This two hour session shall cover various outcomes that will give you increased knowledge when working with the LGBT Community. They will cover the different barriers that the LGBT community face on a regular bases and discuss what we can all do as individuals to make life easier for them.
Learner Outcomes
Participants will/have:

Increased confidence working with the LGBT community to support and promote their sexual health, emotional health and wellbeing;
-
Ensure good practice and support for LGBT communities and their families;
- Increased understanding of the barriers faced by the LGBT community how their experiences of discrimination can generate a need for more specialised support;
- Highlight the effect that stigma can have on the LGBT community looking to access services;
- Be aware of limitations and local services.
