  • The Triangle Trust 1949 Trust - Young Offenders Grants

    Created: 19/09/2023
    News/Events Category: Funding and Finance
    This item will show under the following categories: Children and Families

    Funds work with young people with criminal convictions or those who are at high risk of committing a first offence. In 2023 they will be funding work that uses a Sport for Development approach to reduce reoffending and first offence rates.

    They run two grant rounds each year – one for work supporting young people who have a criminal conviction on their record and one for young people who are considered high risk and on the edge of the criminal justice system.

    Funding can only be used to work with young offenders even if your organisation works with vulnerable young people more broadly. They will prioritise proposals that provide specialist support to target:

    • Young people who are from Black or minoritised/racialised communities (often referred to as Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities);
    • Young women and girls;
    • Young people who have experienced the care system.

    All organisations must be working in the UK with a UK office and have an annual income of less than £1 million to be eligible to apply.

    The next round focuses on organisations working with high risk young people on the edge of the criminal justice system.

    Full details and how to apply can be found here.

    The closing date for applications is Sunday 29 October 2023.
