Citizens Advice and Rights Fife (CARF) is Fife’s leading independent advice organisation providing holistic advice and support to local people for over 25 years. The Cost of Living Crisis has led to a change in the way in which our services are being delivered and a terrific, new opportunity has arisen for a pro-active individual to actively promote income maximisation activity across Fife.
The Income Maximisation Capacity Building Coordinator will take responsibility for widening access points to welfare support across Fife in order to increase income maximisation capacity across Fife. This will involve identifying and working alongside a number of community based organisations to enable and upskill staff to provide income maximisation support.
Working alongside Health Promotions and Fife Council, the post-holder will be responsible for mapping out existing income maximisation and co-ordinating future activity in order to provide detailed reports relating to the capacity of organisations across Fife to provide income maximisation support.
This is a new role within CARF and will require a self-motivated, enthusiastic individual who understands capacity building with the ability to quickly build productive relationships. You will have a good standard of education, high quality personal skills and a tenacious nature. Experience of working in an advice giving capacity and/or a knowledge or interest in the social security system would be advantageous but not essential. The successful applicant will be expected to have a working knowledge of the voluntary sector, ideally in Fife.
You will be required to identify and work alongside a variety of community based organisations across Fife to further promote income maximisation and be an advocate of the emerging “No Wrong Door” agenda in Fife. The successful candidate will be able to work independently as well as supporting and delivering on CARF’s vision and values.
