A personal assistant is sought to help a 75-year-old female who is easygoing with a good sense of humour. She has experienced a stroke down her left side and- although hard of hearing- can lip read and is a lovely character. The family are happy to help initially until the routine has been learned. Shower hoist and turner for transfers in situ.
Applicants must have a caring attitude and a good sense of humour and be reliable with a positive and flexible approach to work. Having experience with hoist use and slings is preferred.
This role requires an enhanced check through PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups).
Duties and responsibilities
- provision of personal care
- assisting the client with bed baths /showers, drying, and changing clothes.
- light housekeeping
- small meal prep for breakfast
- social activity on Sunday to keep company whilst partner is out
