The experience and impact of trauma and adversity in the lives of Scottish people is more pervasive than has previously been recognised, and this has been exacerbated by the COVID pandemic and the cost of living crisis. The National Trauma Training Programme (NTTP) supports the shared ambition of the Scottish Government, COSLA and partners from across Scotland of a trauma-informed and responsive nation and workforce that is capable of recognising where people are affected by trauma and adversity, able to respond in ways that prevent further harm while supporting recovery, and can address inequalities and improve life chances.
This free webinar is open to anyone with an interest in learning more about the NTTP and is a repeat of the sessions delivered in 2020-22, together with the most recent developments for 2023. The focus of this event is to introduce and raise awareness of the work of the NTTP and the resources available. The session will:
provide an overview of the NTTP
introduce the freely accessible NTTP-informed and skilled learning resources, including animations, workshops and e-learning
highlight the importance of leadership in driving trauma-informed change
provide an update on commitments across local authorities and public services
