How much do you know about local training opportunities? What support can be offered to help a young person to get into a positive destination if they have barriers?
If you are a teacher, a careers adviser or someone working with this cohort, this session aims to increase your knowledge and help you to navigate the post-school landscape.
Julie Kennedy (Skills Development Scotland) and local opportunity providers will give you a whistle-stop tour of their provision, including:
- what the providers offer on the programme;
- why would it suit some young people;
- what the referral and progression routes are;
- whether it could be the answer for a young person who needs a non-traditional route
