Do you care for older people? Help set new standards of care for older people in hospitals

News/Events Category: General NewsHealthcare Improvement Scotland’s Standards and Indicators Team is currently working to update the standards of care for older people in hospitals, originally drafted in 2015. At this stage, the team is looking to explore the scope of this project – what areas should be covered by these new standards and what areas should not be covered.
In order to properly define the scope, the team is embarking on a process of data collection over the next two months to establish what evidence and views there are amongst stakeholders about what the scope should be. It aims to have all submissions in by 07 April 2023.
Stakeholders in the care of older people are encouraged by HIS to share their views and any evidence they may feel is relevant to the scope of the standards. You can share your views in three potential ways:
- Through an online survey
- In a one-on-one interview with HIS
- In a focus group with you and other relevant stakeholders in your network,
