It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.Our Volunteer Managers' Forums are open to anyone who works or volunteers in Fife and who is involved in the recruitment and/or management/supervision of volunteers. This Focus Group is intended to reach the same people, whether you usually attend a forum, subscribe to our Volunteer Recruitment and Management e-bulletin, engage with the Volunteering Development Team or not. And we are shamelessly trying to induce you to attend by offering cake. It's true.
At FVA, we are keen to make sure that the support we are providing for Volunteer Managers, or anyone supporting volunteers in Fife, is what is needed by YOU. Is the format of a quarterly forum with a speaker right? Too long, too short, more often less often? Are we getting the topics right for your needs? Would you prefer to meet more managers' in your locality or those involved in managing volunteers doing similar tasks e.g. 'themed' events such as children; older people, outdoor activities etc.
There are lots of questions we've been asking ourselves as we've seen the number of people attending our forums drop, and we need you to help us shape the format going forward. We will be sending out an electronic survey soon, asking these questions and more, in as simple a way as we can so that it is easy and quick for you to complete. However, we know that this doesn't give the full picture of what your thoughts, views and ideas are, so if you can spare the time, we'd love you to join us to chat over the challenges you face and how we can help you deal with them. We hope sufficient people will come along that we can break into small groups and hear from everyone. We might even give you a cup of tea or coffee to go with that cake. Did we mention there was going to be cake ...?
