This event is being organised by Fife Voluntary Action

It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.

For the first forum of the year, we're going to focus on the cost of living challenges - what this means for our volunteers, volunteer recruitment, our organisation and service users and how we are making or how we might make a difference. We know that there is an impact on ourselves too, as volunteer managers. FVA's Head of Volunteering, Linda Watson, will lead the discussion on what the wider picture is and how we might help each other in these circumstances. To further assist us, we'll also take a look at research produced by Volunteer Scotland on this topic. There will be plenty of time for sharing our experiences with the forum - let's get together and support ourselves and our volunteers during these difficult times,.

The forum will also take time to look forward to Volunteers' Week, taking place only 10 weeks after the forum! What will be different this year, what plans do you already have in place, what resources do you need to support you with this? Let's share ideas, previous positive experiences (and the things that didn't work, if you wish!) and build a picture of a week of great potential.

Our Volunteer Managers' Forums are open to anyone who works or volunteers in Fife and who is involved in the recruitment and/or management/supervision of volunteers. We know that Volunteer Management can sometimes be a solitary role within an organisation, and our Forums are a great way to meet other people who are doing a similar role to you and reduce any sense of isolation you may have. The forums always provide the chance to network (usually both formally and informally), and ask questions of the speaker and FVA staff who will be in attendance.
