    Background

Acquiring and improving skills is key to Scotland securing good, high-value jobs in new and existing sectors to support a just transition. This meeting / training session will help organisations across Scotland to develop technology that will improve adult vocational education, focusing on supporting individuals, sectors and geographies that are furthest from mainstream provision.  The event will provide an opportunity to join thought leaders, practitioners, and policy makers from across Scotland to discuss how all stakeholders can better use tech-enabled learning to improve the skills that are necessary to securing the just transition. UFI will also host a selection of organisations they have supported to showcase the innovative ways technology is already helping learners prepare for a fairer, greener Scotland.

The event will also provide a forum to discuss VocTech Activate, an open grant call supporting early-stage approaches tackling vocational learning challenges.

The event will be of value to those involved in improving skills for work - whether in a community, local government, educational or business setting.
