  • Kirkcaldy and Central Fife Sports Awards: Nominations open for 2023 awards

    Created: 11/01/2023
    News/Events Category: General News

Fifers can now nominate who they think are the most dedicated and successful sportsmen and women and teams at the Kirkcaldy and Central Fife Sports Council returning annual awards.

Nominations can be made online and are open across a whole range of categories - including specific awards for volunteers. Nominated winners will receive an award at a  presentation night held at Fife College’s St Brycedale Campus on Thursday 30 March 2023.

The Sports Council's area runs from Burntisland to Leven and west to Glenrothes and Cluny. Individuals who live out with the area may also be nominated provided they are members of a club within the area and provided they are not shortlisted for a similar award in their home area.

Due to the pandemic, the Awards have not been held since, but the Sports Council intended to resurrect the Awards in March 2023. It has been decided since restrictions were lifted part way through 2021 that the Awards, on this occasion, will cover an 18 month period and are looking for nominations for achievements recorded between  01 July 2021 and 31 December 2022.

The closing date for nominations is 06 February 2023.
