Fife Health Promotion Service has recently received funding from the Community and Mental Health Wellbeing Children & Young People's Fund to work with the SHOUT - a text Messaging service to provide a localised version of this UK-wide support service.

SHOUT is a free, confidential, anonymous 24/7 text messaging support service for anyone who is struggling to cope.

Contact with the SHOUT text messaging service does not show on phone bills and no app or internet connection is required to access the service. The service supports individuals by responding to ‘where they are at’ at the point of making contact. This can be a one-off situation which has caused them to feel upset, to more long-term and time sensitive situations.

The Fife Partnership with SHOUT will officially launch in December and will be available to anyone living in Fife but specifically targeted to the 16-24 (26 for care experienced) to fit alongside existing, complimentary digital support platforms.
