  • The Richmond Fellowship Scotland - Support Practitioner

    Created: 31/10/2022
    News/Events Category: Job Vacancies

    Post: Support Practitioner

    Hours: £22,106 per annum

    Location: Buckhaven

    Contract: Permanent/variable hours

The Richmond Fellowship Scotland (TRFS) has four Support Practitioner posts available in Buckhaven. Two posts are for waken nights and two posts for dayshifts (with covering waken night shifts when required). Day shifts are predominantly 08:00 - 09:00 and waken nights are 21:00 - 08:00. Induction training for these roles takes place in Glenrothes. In this role, the job holder will be looking after 4 residents of different ages, all living at one location, and in addition to the induction training, will undergo Crisis Aggression Limitation Management (CALM) training. For this particular role, TRFS is preferably looking for a driver, however, will also consider non-driver applicants; the team strongly recommend candidates explore public transport options prior to applying.

In addition, TRFS has a post that is open to individuals with a full clean driving license and access to their own vehicle only, due to travel requirements whilst on shift. This post covers housing support across Leven, Kennoway and East Wemyss. This post is for 25-30hrs per week, and due to the requirements of the residents, this post is open to male applicants only. You will be paid for your travel time while on shift and there is also a 45p per mile fuel allowance. Please note that all posts are offered on a shift pattern basis and will include weekend and public holiday shifts, however, the team has shift patterns to suit your availability as a part-time or bank staff member. Please feel free to contact the team at 07884 602 630 or [email protected] to discuss your availability.

No previous experience in care is required as TRFS provides full in-house training to all new staff members and will even invest in you to achieve your SVQ Level 2, so even if this is a new career path for you, the team would love to meet you. What matters most is that you have the right values and the right attitude.

For more information/to apply, please visit TRFS's website. The closing date for applications is 22 November 2022.
