  • Scotland's Census 2022: Census Outputs Consultation

    Created: 19/10/2022
    News/Events Category: General News

    The Scottish Government plans to start publishing census information in 2023. As part of its work toward publication, the Government has now launched this Scotland's Census outputs consultation.

    The team encourages all users of census data to respond. By responding to the consultation, you will help to produce census outputs that will meet your needs.

    The consultation asks users to give their views on:

    • the order and sequencing of topics published;
    • the tools used to publish data;
    • the geographical levels that data are published at;
    • how changes to census questions impact users’ planned work/research; and
    • what they need from the new census questions.

    Find out more about the consultation and how to respond here.

    The team are also holding online events about the consultation on 26 October and 02 November. These events will allow users to find out more about the consultation and ask any questions. You can find out more about the events and sign up here:
