    Created: 27/09/2022
    News/Events Category: General News

Scotland’s unemployment rate remained at 3.2 per cent over the quarter - a joint-record low - latest labour market statistics show. Additionally, the employment rate for women was the highest since the Labour Force Survey estimates were first published.

Separate HMRC early estimates show 2.43 million pay-rolled employees in Scotland in July 2022, 43,000 more than in February 2020, prior to the pandemic.

The Scottish Government remains committed in investing in employability and training to help with the current economic challenges and cost crisis.
