The Code is a statement of best practice, developed by the Forum in 2018, following consultation with over 250 people and organisations. It is intended for the governing bodies of third sector organisations in Scotland – charities, community groups and social enterprises (not-for-profit businesses that help people or communities). It reflects and celebrates the good practice that exists in the third sector and provides a standard all third sector organisations should aim for.
Third sector organisations of all forms, operating across Scotland are encouraged to engage with this consultation to inform recommended improvements for a refreshed Governance Code for the third sector in Scotland.
Who is the consultation for?
This survey is designed for those who are currently on a Board or Committee in the role of a Trustee or Director in addition to senior staff and volunteers who work with the Board to run the organisation.
