Joint Inspection of adult health and social care services in Fife
Created: 18/07/2022, Updated: 21/07/2022The Care Inspectorate and Healthcare Improvement Scotland (HIS) notified Fife Health and Social Care Partnership on 06 June that an inspection of how health and social care services are delivered in Fife will take place between June and October 2022.
The joint inspection aims to answer the following question:
How effectively is the Partnership working together, strategically and operationally, to deliver seamless services that achieve good health and wellbeing outcomes for adults?
This inspection will consider the experiences of people aged 18 – 64 years who have physical disabilities and specifically look at:
For this inspection, The Care Inspectorate and HIS will focus on the experiences of people who have physical disabilities and complex needs and their unpaid carers. It is possible that your service is not specifically focused on physical disability, but you are likely to have people with physical disabilities and complex needs using your service.
More information on the inspection in these leaflets:
Part of the inspection will involve the Care Inspectorate connecting you directly to find out how you or those you care for feel about personal outcomes.
Some of you may be contacted to join focus groups and to find out more detailed information from you. Engagement will only be progressed with those providers directly involved in the care and support of adults with a physical disability.
More information on this is set out in the Provider Engagement Guidance.
The Care Inspectorate asks for your help to distribute the surveys to people and carers that you are in contact with, and actively support and encourage people to complete and return the surveys.
You are also asked to forward the appropriate survey link/paper survey to those people using your services who have been living with physical disabilities in the past 2 years and carers who have been providing care for someone who has physical disabilities in the past 2 years.
The Care Inspectorate will enquire with you how many paper copies of the person and carer surveys you think you will need and send these to you directly, along with stamps and envelopes for you to send them out and stamped addressed return envelopes.
However, we at FVA will assist this effort and send paper surveys to anyone who needs a copy. Please call 0800 389 6046, e-mail [email protected], or write to us at Caledonia House, Pentland Park, Saltire Centre, Glenrothes, KY6 2AL with your name and return address and we'll post this to you.
The surveys will close on the following dates: Friday 29 July for online and Wednesday 27 July for postal (2 working days prior to the online date).
Telephone support by the Care Inspectorate will be provided, while the survey is open for completion, at the following times, on 0131 623 4614:
