  • New support group for adults with experience of poor mental health opening in Kirkcaldy

    Created: 18/07/2022
    News/Events Category: General News

A new Express Group will open on Friday 05 August at Linton Lane Centre, Linton Lane KY2 6LF for adults who are experiencing or have experienced poor mental health.

The aim of the Groups is to provide a safe place where people can share experiences and support each other (peer support). For some, Groups are perhaps the only place they can meet people and socialise, play games, and do arts and crafts; for others, they are a chance to help and show what they can do. The cooked lunch at the end of the morning is a definite draw for some. All the Groups are safe places in which people can relax and move forward at their own pace, but each has its own character.

The group will run on Fridays from 09:30 - 13:00 and referrals and self-referrals are welcome. Forms can be downloaded from the Express Group (Fife) website or requested from the office [email protected].

For further information please call the office on 01592 645 331.
