  • The Institute Of Physics - Public Engagement Grant

    Created: 21/06/2022, Updated: 23/06/2022
    News/Events Category: Funding and Finance

The Institute of Physics' public engagement scheme supports projects that:

    • raise public awareness of, and engagement with, contemporary physics
    • inspire and enthuse public audiences, especially those not previously interested in physics
    • reach adult and family audiences beyond the classroom
    • develop the science communication skills of individuals, particularly physicists

The funder is looking for projects targeted at audiences that aren’t already engaged with physics. Key audiences include women/girls, family audiences, and audiences with low science capital.

    Who can apply

The scheme is open to individuals and organisations passionate about promoting engagement with physics, including Institute members, researchers in academia or industry, museums, community groups, not-for-profit organisations, arts groups, and libraries.

    How to apply

Applications must be submitted electronically via the online form on the Institute of Physics website.

    When to apply

The deadline for applications is 17:00 on 01 July 2022.
