News/Events Category: Funding and FinanceThe Triangle Trust 1949 Trust's Young Carers Grants support work that amplifies the impact of what you are already doing with young carers (up to the age of 25) and enables your existing support to develop or go further. This might mean adding an education component to what you already do or increasing the work you are currently doing around education and young carers/young adult carers.
The funders welcome applications that:
- Provide support to young carers and young adult carers who have fallen behind with their learning due to their caring responsibilities and the impact of Covid-19.
- Work in/with local primary and secondary schools to identify, support and raise awareness of young carers.
- Support young adult carers to continue in higher and further education and training.
Who can apply
If your organisation’s primary purpose is to support carers or young carers then you may apply. Organisations working with young carers who have a wider remit beyond solely supporting unpaid carers are NOT eligible to apply.
Organisations solely supporting unpaid carers need to already have an existing young carers project to be able to make an application.
How to apply
Complete the eligibility checker on the Trust's website. If eligible you will be able to access the online application form. Applications are then reviewed and shortlisted. If shortlisted you will be asked for additional supporting information.
When to apply
There is one round per year. Applications for the 2022 round opened on 30 March 2022 and close at 12:00 on 06 May 2022.
