Localgiving - Local Hero

News/Events Category: Funding and FinanceDuring April, all fundraisers via the Localgiving website will be automatically included in the campaign and ranked on the Local Hero leaderboard according to the number of unique online donors that sponsor their page.
As a charity or community group, to take part you need to have an active Localgiving membership and to ask your supporters to fundraise for you throughout the month of April. Supporters simply need to set themselves a challenge, create a fundraising page through Localgiving and ask their friends, family, colleagues and anyone else they know to sponsor them at any time between the 1 and 30 of April.
The top 20 fundraisers will be awarded prizes ranging from £100 to £1,000.
Who can apply
Localgiving members, there is a cost to join as a member.
How to apply
Start fundraising on Localgiving. If your organisation isn't a member of Localgiving you can sign up via its website. All Localgiving members are automatically included in the campaign so once you’ve registered you can automatically start receiving donations and will already be enrolled into the campaign. Please note, there is a cost to join Localgiving as a member.
When to apply
Local Hero will start on 01 April 2022 and run until midnight on 30 April 2022.
