Historic Environment Scotland - Heritage and Place Programme
Created: 31/03/2022Historic Environment Scotland’s Heritage and Place Programme is an area-based funding programme that aims to contribute to the development of vibrant and sustainable places in Scotland, through community-led regeneration of the historic environment. It supports the development and delivery of heritage-focused schemes within conservation areas, or alternatively distinctive heritage areas with local authority recognition.
Community participation is be integral to the design and delivery of successful schemes your objectives should fit within the local authority's strategic framework for Place and Regeneration.
Who can apply
Applications to the Heritage & Place Programme can be accepted from local authorities, national park authorities and not-for-profit organisations based in Scotland.
How to apply
The application process for the Heritage and Place Programme is in two phases: the Development Phase (takes up to 12 months) and the Delivery Phase (maximum 5 years from commencement of scheme).To apply, complete an Expression of Interest via the HES application portal. If successful at the EOI stage, you will be invited to make a Development Phase application.
When to apply
The first round of the Heritage and Place Programme opened for Expressions of Interest on 30 March and closes on 30 June 2022.
