Equal Voice - Development Worker

Salary: £24,000 pro rata until end July 2022
Equal Voice is a registered charity that is looking for a Development Worker to join its team. The applicant should be dynamic, creative, professional and are passionate about the rights of vulnerable people; the applicant should be community-orientated; with a strong record of developing initiatives.
You will support vulnerable adults (and their parents/carers) who have a learning/physical disability/chronic illness/or enduring mental health who, as a result of the pandemic, have suffered more than others due to lockdown. You will design and support each person to compile a comprehensive Wellness plan, identifying personal goals to help address the impact of Covid 19 and support them to emerge from the pandemic. You will work with other like-minded public/voluntary/private sector partners to create a comprehensive plan and ensure identified goals are met.
You will create and run a regular forum including, support, coaching, mindfulness, self-care, anxiety and coping mechanisms, meditation, suicide awareness, speakers, and gatherings to ease social isolation and to reconnect and revitalise our community.
By implementing this local infrastructure, offering comprehensive support to accessible services to promote and support positive mental health and wellbeing for individuals and the local community, people will have improved mental health and wellbeing.
The 10-hour post is based in Central Fife and this project is supported by the Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund through Fife Voluntary Action and the Scottish Government until the end of July 2022.
