NHS Fife is running an Introduction to Autism in Children and Young People course from 10:00 - 15:30 on 31 May 2022 via MS Teams.
This course is an introduction to autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in children and young people. The course will include the latest understanding of the major features of ASD and the ways in which they manifest themselves in children and young people. In addition, strategies to support children with ASD will be considered.
To increase awareness of ASD in children and young people.
To build confidence and competence when working with children and young people with ASD and their families.
To explore case studies to consider whether or not children have ASD traits and to problem-solve difficulties children with ASD may experience.
Who should attend?
Anyone working with children, young people and their families, who wants to find out more about ASD. Please note: priority will be given to people working with children, young people and their families in Fife. Please complete this application form to book a place. Places are not offered on a first come first served basis. The closing date for applications is 20 April and NHS Fife will contact you after that to confirm whether you have a place.
