  • Funding support for new third sector jobs in Fife

    Created: 27/01/2022

Are you looking to create a new job or paid placements in your organisation between now and March?

Funding agreed from Fife Council and administered by SCVO will create 30 opportunities in Fife for unemployed young people aged 16 to 24 years with all starts by 31 March 2022 and unemployed individual, aged 25 plus and who are 12 months+ unemployed.  The opportunities available will be diverse and range across a variety of job occupational sectors.  Opportunities will be for 25 hours per week minimum. However, part-time positions of 16 hours a week will be considered.

Opportunities will be for 6 months paid at least at National Minimum Wage and employers are encouraged to promote the National Living Wage. SCVO will promote Modern Apprenticeships to employers and aim to have 20% of the young people progress to an MA.

SCVO will work with voluntary organisations and charities to identify eligible people and a referral form will need to be submitted.  SCVO will work with other eligible partners in promoting the opportunities. This will include Fife Voluntary Action, DWP and SDS and Fife Council.
