Let’s Do Net Zero: Off Electricity Grid Communities Fund
Created: 11/01/2022The Let’s Do Net Zero: Off Electricity Grid Communities Fund aims to enable off-grid communities to operate resilient local independent grids that are ready for net zero and able to support the future decarbonisation of heat and transport. CARES funding available through this call is to develop and deliver specific capital projects.
CARES can provide development funding during this financial year (2021-2022) and next financial year (2022-2023) to help develop your project and move it towards implementation with CARES capital funding available through to March 2023.

Who can apply?
This fund is for communities that operate existing local independent grid* electricity systems. These may be located on the Scottish mainland or island communities, click here for more information on eligibility requirements.
How to apply?
Complete an expression of interest form via the funder's website.
When to apply?
There is no specific deadline for full applications for this funding call. However, to provide an indication of likely budget requirements, please submit an expression of interest by 31 January 2022.
