FVA Lunchtime Learning sessions to support third sector in Fife

FVA lunchtime learning sessions are aimed at raising the skills and capacities of local third sector providers interested in improving or enhancing their provision in Fife.

Peer Support is a growing element of many services in Fife, within the mental health sector and beyond.  The Fife Mental Health Peer Support Network aims to support the growth of Peer Support in Fife through enabling the co-design and co-production of peer services, training and resources; delivering training and signposting to relevant resources and further training opportunities.

    This session will:

    • Explain and define what is meant by ‘peer support’, including the range of activities that can be considered ‘peer practice’
    • Explore the concept of formal/intentional Peer Practice, and why it is especially relevant in mental health services
    • Look at the resources available to help implement good quality peer support including Fife’s Framework for Growing Peer Support and Peer Practice Skills Pathway
    • Outline the support on offer through Fife’s Mental Health Peer Support Network and ways you can get involved.
