    It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.

    We asked people who attended these sessions earlier last year, what they liked most about our training - here are some of their comments:

    • “It was relaxed and friendly - felt at ease participating, sharing and asking questions.”
    • “I like the group being split into smaller "rooms" on Zoom as it makes it easier to discuss different scenarios.”
    • “I liked how interactive it was and how we were constantly engaged with activities.”
    • “The variety of information provided.”
    • “Clear and concise information.”  “Easy pace to follow.”
    • “How comprehensive it was and how friendly the trainers were.”
    • “The session was really useful and I have noted a couple of additional points that I feel we need to consider while developing our training.”
    • “As a person who has been a volunteer but never managed volunteers before, I found the session very informative.”
    • “I am looking forward to receiving the templates you will provide as a guidance for our own policy and agreements.”

    Course Content

    This course will enable you and your organisation to feel more confident in understanding the difference between equality and diversity. This can then enable your organisation to recruit volunteers who can potentially bring along a vast amount of varied skills and knowledge that may support the skill set that you already have as well as boosting the services you provide.

    Included in this course:

    •    The difference between equality and diversity;
    •    What is meant by the 'protected characteristics';
    •    The benefits of promoting diversity in your volunteer team;
    •    Overcoming barriers/stereotypes;
    •    How we can support you.

    Who should attend

    Anyone who has, or is expecting to have, responsibility for recruiting/managing volunteers in their organisation. Your organisation should be providing a service in Fife.

    In order to offer places to as many organisations as possible, we are only able to offer two places on each date to members of the same organisation. If your organisation would like to send more than 2 people, please get in touch with us to discuss options with you.

    Cancellation Policy

    Additional Information

    **This training will be delivered as a hybrid event - if Scottish Government guidance allows us to meet in person, we will do so and also provide the facility for those who wish to join via Zoom.**
