Effective Working Together: Inter-agency Adult Support & Protection
Created: 26/11/2021As part of our Befriending Resilience work, we are offering Befriending Managers/Coordinators the opportunity to come together and participate in the Adult Support and Protection, Effective Working Together training course.
At this session, Helen Skinner, (Training Officer with the Adult Support and Protection Committee (ASPC)) will tell us more about how to identify and support adults that could be at risk of harm. Participants at this session will:
Become familiar with Fife Inter-Agency Adult Support & Protection Guidance, in order to understand what harm is and to identify the indicators of harm.
Know how to act on the relevant legislation in relation to Adult Support and Protection.
Understand individual and multi-agency responsibilities in Adult Support and Protection and the legal duty to co-operate under the Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007.
Understand the requirement to share information in line with Fife ASPC Information Sharing Protocol.
This session is free to attend, delivered online, and is aimed at Volunteer Managers/Coordinators from organisations that provide befriending services and/or projects that provide direct support to clients.
The sessions will take place from 09:30 - 16:00 on 19 January 2021.
