We would like to thank the third sector, community organisations and volunteers across Scotland for your continued efforts to keep Scotland safe, and in supporting those who have been impacted most by the pandemic.
As you may be aware, we are currently rolling out our autumn/winter vaccination programme. We are offering flu and COVID-19 booster vaccinations to everyone who is eligible, as quickly and safely as possible.
This year our immunity to flu may be lower than usual. And it’s likely that flu and COVID-19 viruses will be circulating at the same time.
We want to protect those who are most at risk from becoming ill and prevent hospitalisations and deaths. NHS Scotland strongly recommends people get vaccinated.
That is why we are asking you to continue to highlight the importance of getting vaccinated when invited. Information on eligibility for the flu and COVID-19 vaccines is available here.
You can help by:
supporting people to check if they are eligible for vaccination and how and when they will be called for an appointment;
encouraging those who can to book an appointment online here, or by calling the national vaccination helpline on 0800 030 8013; and
