    The Commonwealth Foundation supports civic voices to share their stories, learn and act together and influence the institutions that shape people’s lives.

    Applicants must address one or more of the Foundation’s three priority themes:

    1. Health
    2. Environment and climate change
    3. Freedom of expression

    It seeks to support initiatives that encourage and make possible meaningful and constructive engagement between civil society and government around policy and decision-making relevant to these three themes.

    Proposals must relate to projects that are expected to begin within the second half of 2022. See the funder's website for full guidance notes.

    Who can apply?

    Applicants must be registered not-for-profit civil society organisations, have an annual income of less than £3 million. The applicant must be based in an eligible Commonwealth Foundation member country and the project should take place in an eligible Commonwealth Foundation member country.

    How to apply?

    Apply online via the funder's website. Confirmed grantees will be informed by the end of June 2022.

    When to apply?

    Applications close at 13:00 on 30 November 2021.
