    Created: 19/10/2021
    News/Events Category: General News

Shared Care Scotland has recently published a report which provides an overview of the current status of short breaks planning across Scotland, and Health and Social Care Partnership plans for promoting variety and choice. The research, which was carried out by Jen Curran of The Lasting Difference,  aimed to help us better understand a range of issues including:

    • Do Carer Strategies reference short breaks and in what ways?
    • Is there intentional market shaping activity going on?
    • Are there Short Break Strategies or improvement plans for addressing the amount and variety of short breaks?
    • Are Short Break Service Statements (SBSS) being actively planned and reviewed?
    • Are there interesting practices – or gaps?  What’s behind these?

The full report can be downloaded here.
