  • Implementation of Fair Work First in Scottish Public Procurement

    Created: 07/10/2021
    News/Events Category: General News

Fair Work First is the Scottish Government's flagship policy for driving high quality and fair work across the labour market by applying fair work criteria to grants, other funding arrangements and contracts awarded across the public sector, where it’s relevant to do so.

Newly revised guidance on applying Fair Work in a procurement context is now available which takes account of two additional elements to Fair Work – namely, promoting flexible and family-friendly working; and opposing unfair fire and rehire practices.
