Becoming a Fair Work nation: consultation
Created: 06/10/2021Fair Work will be a key element within the forthcoming COVID-19 Recovery Strategy. The Scottish Government’s vision, shared with the Fair Work Convention, is that by 2025, people in Scotland will have a world-leading working life where fair work drives success, wellbeing and prosperity for individuals, businesses, organisations and society.
The consultation seeks views on the action that will be required to achieve the vision. It will run until 23 December 2021.
It provides a timely opportunity to inform the Scottish Government’s Fair Work priorities, particularly in the context of COVID, EU Exit and in recognising the important role Fair Work can play in our economic recovery and renewal and our ambition for making a just transition to a net-zero and wellbeing economy. It will also seek views on how to ensure Fair Work continues to respond to and address labour market challenges and workplace inequality.
The Scottish Government invites interested parties from all sections of the economy, including employers and sectoral groups, workers and their representatives and others, as well as wider civic Scotland, to consider and share their views on the action they think needs to be taken, by who, in what timescales and with what sense of priority.
Please share the following links with your stakeholders and encourage them and their workforce to respond:
