It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.

PLEASE NOTE: This training session must be done in person at our premises in Glenrothes, it cannot be done remotely.

FVA has asked Integrated Water Services to deliver a training session to help organisations have a better understanding of what is involved in water hygiene for their premises.

All organisations who are responsible for the maintenance of services in any property they own or rent should be aware of the risks of poor water hygiene. The Health and Safety Executive (ACoP L8) advises that those who are appointed to carry out the control measures and strategies are suitably informed, instructed and trained. It states they should be properly trained to a standard which ensures that tasks are carried out in a safe, technically competent manner. Regular refresher training should be given, and records of all initial and refresher training need to be maintained.

Organisations will have a better understanding of the following:

    • Understanding management responsibilities
    • Understanding the identification and assessment of the risk
    • Preventing or controlling the risks
    • Routine monitoring and inspection
    • Record keeping

The training session will help delegates to come to a valid decision about:

    • The potential risks in operating their water system
    • Their responsibilities and the control measures required to eliminate or minimise those risks
