    Post: Administrative Assistant (one post under Community Jobs Scotland scheme for young people 16-29)

    Hours: 25 hours per week (normally 4 days of which Tuesdays- Thursdays are fixed with some additional hours)

    Salary: National minimum wage 

    Location: CLEAR Hub in central Buckhaven

     

    Contract: A 26 week contract

    The CLEAR Hub in Buckhaven is looking to recruit an Administrative Assistant. Main duties include:

    • staffing the reception desk;
    • handling shop sales; 
    • information dissemination;
    • data entry;
    • file management;
    • photo archive work; and
    • related tasks.

    The employee will assist for some hours each week in the Community Workshop including recording sales, inventories etc. Tidying, organizing and cleaning work forms part of the overall job in addition to additional tasks such as survey and distribution tasks (eg to circulate printed Newsletter). This post would be supervised by the Hub Manager (or the Workshop in charge when based there). This is a great opportunity for a young person to gain a range of practical experience in outdoor work while being paid the national minimum wage for. Candidates should be well-motivated, show good timekeeping, an ability to work respectfully with a range of different individuals. Some capacity with IT is necessary.

    This vacancy is only available through Community Jobs Scotland. Applicants must be aged 16 to 29 years and meet specific eligibility criteria.  Application can only be made via your local Jobcentre Plus or Skills Development Scotland work coach.  It is expected the closing date for applications will be 01 September.
