“Having the breakout rooms provided excellent opportunities for professional dialogue between attendees.”
“The opportunity to work in groups was great because we made strong connections with the other attendees”
“The information is clear and accessible, it is also good to be doing a series of sessions with mostly the same people and learning about their experiences and organisations.”
“Useful information, interactive work and gaining knowledge from others”
“lot of useful knowledge”
“Good advice. Helpful trainers.”
Despite the constant interest in new and better techniques to recruit volunteers, the true challenge in the volunteer field is first having meaningful activities for volunteers to do. Without preparation you run the risk of attracting people who do not really meet your needs and therefore are the wrong volunteers for you; and having the wrong volunteers may be worse than having no volunteers at all.
Included in the course:
• Motivations for volunteering;
• Developing opportunities;
• Methods of recruitment;
• Recruitment messages;
• Recruitment strategies.
Who should attend
Anyone who has, or is expecting to have, responsibility for recruiting/managing volunteers in their organisation. Your organisation should be providing a service in Fife.
In order to offer places to as many organisations as possible, we are only able to offer two places on each date to members of the same organisation. If your organisation would like to send more than 2 people, please get in touch with us to discuss options.
Cancellations can be received up to 5 working days ahead of the event. A cancellation will only be valid if we have confirmed it with you. You can send somebody else in place of a booked delegate.
Notes from the session will be forwarded to all participants who complete a post-training evaluation form that will be e-mailed to you.
