Citizens Advice and Rights Fife (CARF) is an independent and innovative advice organisation providing holistic advice and support to local people. Its service continues to grow and expand, and it is now excited to recruit a Carers Income Maximisation Worker, to join its busy team.
The successful applicant will undertake diagnostic interviews with unpaid carers and identify appropriate entitlements, assisting with applications as required and making referrals to appropriate organisations. The post holders will also assist with appealing benefit decisions where necessary and with providing general advice on end of life financial readiness.
You will have a good standard of education, high quality personal skills and a strong desire to improve lives. Experience of working in an advice giving capacity and/or a knowledge or interest in the social security system would be advantageous.
