Kirkcaldy Walking Festival 2021
Created: 02/07/2021Greener Kirkcaldy is delighted to announce that Kirkcaldy Walking Festival is back for summer 2021 with a programme of led walks taking place from 31 July - 08 August.
Local organisations will be leading free walks at locations across Kirkcaldy. The programme contains both short and more challenging routes, as well as themed walks that include wildlife, heritage, health and family fun. The programme of walks can be downloaded here or printed programmes are available from Greener Kirkcaldy's building on East Fergus Place or from selected venues around Kirkcaldy.
The annual walking festival aims to encourage people to get out and walk more, which is great for your health and the planet. The festival is also a great chance to meet new people and learn about some fantastic local organisations. Greener Kirkcaldy hope that by helping you to explore your local area on foot, you will be encouraged to walk for short journeys rather than take the car.
All walks will be delivered in-line with up-to-date Covid-19 guidelines. To book, participants should follow instructions for each walk in the programme.
Kirkcaldy Walking Festival is coordinated by Greener Kirkcaldy as part of its Scottish Government Climate Challenge Fund project "Let's move up a gear!", which aims to promote active travel and raise climate change awareness.
