Hours: Part-time 21 core hours per week (with scope for an additional 7 hours)
Contract: Fixed term initially until March 2022. This post is funded by a recurring annual grant, subject to meeting funder objectives.

Lead Scotland is seek a part-time Befriending Coordinator to market and deliver its well-established befriending service in the Fife area to adults and older people who are socially isolated, lonely or disconnected as a result of disability, ill-health or other circumstances.

Experience of managing volunteers would be an advantage, as would a track record of experience in community development and support.
This post will suit those that are passionate about supporting others, who have excellent communication skills and a flexible and creative approach to problem-solving.
You must be enthusiastic with excellent organisational skills and have previous experience of supporting disabled people with a range of barriers, and of working one-to-one with individuals. A full driving license and access to a car are essential to travel to homes and communities across the seven main localities of Fife.
This post is home-based in Fife and involves regulated work for which a satisfactory PVG will be required. Lead Scotland has a Recruiting People with Convictions Policy.
