Social Enterprise Network Scotland's Policy and Practice session will look at how social enterprises can align with and embrace Fair Work principles.
Fair Work is more important than ever and is at the heart of Scotland’s economic recovery and renewal. The Social Enterprise Action Plan states that 'evidence suggests that social enterprises are leading the way on fair and inclusive working practices, the sector can go even further.'
Rosie Whelan, Head of Fair Work at Scottish Government on their ambitions for Fair Work, the strategy context underpinning it, their flagship policy Fair Work First, the progress made to date, and opportunities presented through Fair Work.
LIsa Gallagher at Flexibility Works on how flexible working can be part of the Fair Work solution and how to create a working culture that benefits your organisation and people.
Social enterprise, SCARF, will share how it embeds Fair Work practices in its organisation, and the impact on/benefits for the business and workforce.
There will be the usual opportunity for questions and open discussion about how social enterprises embrace Fair Work and what would help them 'go even further'.
