  • Cycling UK - Help more people in your community to cycle

    Created: 09/06/2021, Updated: 31/08/2021
    News/Events Category: Funding and Finance

Cycling UK has launched a new scheme to increase the number of people cycling for short everyday journeys – helping people to cycle instead of driving and tackling transport poverty. Cycling UK also aims to increase confidence to cycle and positive attitudes towards cycling.

When more people ride bikes, the whole community benefits. It improves people’s health and wellbeing, reduces air pollution and traffic congestion, and brings economic benefits too. On top of all that, it’s a cheap and convenient way to get around and is loads of fun!

Do you want to help more people in your community to cycle? Cycling UK will provide funding (grants up to £800) and expert support to run activities that will help people jump on a bike, instead of into their car, for short everyday journeys.

From cycle training and confidence-boosting sessions to cargo bike trials for local businesses, Cycling UK will help your ideas flourish.
