  • Register for a coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine as a young carer

    News/Events Category: General News

NHS Inform is now inviting 16 and 17-year-olds who provide vital face-to-face care and support for others, and who haven’t already been given an appointment, to register for their coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine.

Only young carers aged 16 and 17 can now register as unpaid carers for vaccination.

This is because everyone over 30 who has not already been invited is now being scheduled for vaccination, and a self-registration service for everyone aged 18-29 has opened.

Providing face-to-face care can be anything from preparing meals and helping with other household tasks to giving personal and practical support. If that sounds like you, it’s time to roll up your sleeve.

By getting the vaccine, those caring for others can protect themselves from the virus, while continuing to look after and protect others.

Find out how to register for the COVID-19 vaccine here.
